  • Il Barlettaio

    Il Barlettaio

Il Barlettaio was founded in 1995 by the determination and perseverance of Francesco Bertozzi to revive the family vineyards and produce a Chianti Classico with a deeply Raddese soul.

Today, the winery is certified organic and extends over 3 hectares of vineyards and an equal amount dedicated to olive cultivation at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level.

The soils of the area consist mainly of Tuscan sandstone, alberese, and galestro, which are sandstones, clays, and limestones. These give the wines a very elegant tannic structure and an intriguing savory taste that significantly prolongs the persistence on the palate.

The production amounts to around 12,000 bottles per year.
